About Robyn Pitman

I am a registered psychotherapist providing individual, couple, and family therapy. My style is warm, caring, nonjudgmental, and eclectic. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques that are tailored to my clients and the goals they are working towards. I see therapy as a process in which individuals are no longer happy with the story of their life and therapy provides an opportunity to create a different or new story.

My approach to working with clients is collaborative and strength based. I work with clients to draw upon their own unique resources and abilities to address challenges and promote the changes they want in their life. My role is to offer a different perspective and ask thought provoking questions that support clients in creating different or new stories about their lives.

Areas that I have experience working with are depression, anxiety, stress, relationship problems, self-esteem and self confidence, grief and bereavement, life transitions, unexpected life changes, recovery from accident/injury, acquired brain injury, chronic pain, trauma, domestic violence, and abuse.

The psychological services I provide with Jett Psychological Services are supervised by Dr. Steven Jett. Dr. Jett is a Registered Psychologist. I have a PhD in Family Relations and Human Development from the University of Guelph. I am a registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I am also a pre-clinical member working towards my clinical membership with the Ontario (OAMFT) and American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT).
