Above and Beyond, Equine-Assisted Wellness Program for First Responders
In partnership with Horse Sense North
Clinically supervised by Dr. Steven Jett, Ph.D., C.Psych.
This unique, non-riding, equine-assisted program is designed specifically for first responders and public safety professionals. Whether you’re actively serving, on leave, or retired, this small-group experience offers an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, regulate your nervous system, and build emotional regulation skills—in the company of horses and peers who understand.
With no need to talk about trauma or hold a diagnosis, this program provides a powerful and confidential alternative or complement to traditional therapy.
What to Expect
-Ground-based activities with horses—no riding, no horse experience needed
-No trauma talk required
-Small group size (max 5 participants)
-Farm-to-table lunches prepared by Chef Aquila
-A beautiful, quiet farm setting designed for healing and reflection
-A safe, trauma-informed space to explore emotional regulation, embodiment, and connection
This program draws on evidence-based practices including Polyvagal-informed therapy, HeartMath, and Connection-Focused Therapy.
