I am a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I have a master’s degree in social work from Wilfrid Laurier University. I specialize in addiction and concurrent disorders with addiction. I also have experience working with adults that live with anxiety and depression as well as with First Responders. In addition to working with Jett Psychological Services, I am also providing individual and group psychotherapy at Homewood Health Centre in Guelph.
Personally, I have been in recovery myself for over five years. I do not share this to claim that this makes me a more capable therapist, but because owning my recovery is important to me and I do not feel the need to hide it. I also strive to try to break the stigma of addiction. However, I believe that everyone’s recovery is different, and how you choose to identify is up to you. I approach therapy as a collaborative process and aim to help you achieve your goals.
When I’m not providing therapy you can likely find me outside running, hiking and birdwatching.
The services I provide at Jett Psychological Services are supervised by Dr. Jett.
