I have over 12 years of experience providing support to individuals, couples and families who have undergone life transitions related to mental health, acquired brain injury and concussion.
My counselling practice is based on using components from mindfulness, dialectical behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioural therapy, and solution focused therapy. I strive to implement a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive framework in the counselling process. My approach is authentic, compassionate, and client centered. My goal is to empower people to use coping strategies to assist in their therapeutic goals. I value each person’s strength and resilience.
I am a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as well as the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and being with friends and family.
The services I provide at Jett Psychological Services are supervised by Dr. Jett.
