Maggie will be accepting new clients as of September 2023!
With over 10 years as a law enforcement professional, I understand the stress, trauma, and strain First Responders experience daily. I can empathize with the struggle of juggling work and our home lives and the impossible task of not bringing our work home with us. I understand the difficulties placed on emergency services personnel due to the short staffing crisis impacting services from paramedics to police and fire.
I am completing a practicum for my Masters of Counselling program and will be providing therapy under the clinical supervision of Dr. Steven Jett. I am interested in utilizing various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-based therapy, and person-centered therapy. My special interests include trauma and PTSD. I would like to provide a safe space for clients to tell their stories and be heard by someone with respect, compassion, and empathy. I believe therapy is a collaborative process grounded in genuine connection, trust and safety.
In my spare time I love to cook, learn new things, and spend time outdoors hiking and kayaking.
The services I provide at Jett Psychological Services are supervised by Dr. Jett.
